July 1st 2021 marked International Reggae Day! International Reggae Day is celebrated all around the world but mainly in Jamaica. It is a celebration for reggae culture and its influence on Jamaican music.

Members of staff at Sandwell African Caribbean Mental Health Foundation (SACMHF) wanted to join in the festivities by celebrating the day too. They embraced the reggae culture by wearing the colours, red, yellow, gold and green, they enjoyed some tasty Caribbean cuisine and had reggae music playing throughout the day.

Gavena Corridan, Building Futures Project Worker at SACMHF said: "It was a really great day - I had fun, being originally from Jamaica, it's nice to see my colleagues celebrating Reggae Day here in the UK too."
