Race Equality Foundation Forum

Last year in March, Sandwell African Caribbean Mental Health Foundation worked with The Race Equality Foundation and took part in a research workshop. The workshop facilitated was an invaluable opportunity to hear directly from their stakeholders as part of our work on NHS England’s 10-Year Health Plan. Their engagement, lived experiences, and thoughtful feedback provided meaningful insights into healthcare access, digital solutions, and prevention. The discussion was open and insightful, allowing for a deeper exploration of key issues that will help shape future NHS services.

Antoinette, the RCP Parent Programme Officer, said: “The honesty and openness of SACMHF service users made this workshop truly impactful. Their voices will play a vital role in shaping a more inclusive and accessible NHS service.”
Our service user, Lenny, said: ” I found the forum very informative and interesting to learn about the 10-year NHS health plan. I felt comfortable getting across my views and the atmosphere was relaxed which is important.”
