World Mental Health Day 10th October – ‘Tea & Talk’

This year for World Mental Health Day which took place on 10th October – Sandwell African Caribbean Mental  Health Foundation took part in ‘Tea & Talk’ session and wearing green to show everyone that mental health matters. It’s also a day to let people know that it’s okay to ask for help, no matter what you’re going through.

As the theme of World Mental Health Day this year highlighted, ‘mental health is a universal human right’. That’s why Sandwell African Caribbean Mental Health Foundation are dedicated to addressing the inequalities in mental health and working towards good mental health for all. This was a great opportunity for people to share personal experiences and supported one another in a open, safe space.  If you are struggling with your mental health – don’t be afraid to reach out to us. Earlier this year as part of Mental Health Awareness Week in May, we launched a video of case studies of how Sandwell African Caribbean Mental Health Foundation has helped support people through their mental health journey, You can view the video here.
